Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL)

SAIL is an evidence-based strength, balance, and fitness program for adults 65 and older. Performing exercises that improve strength, balance, and fitness is the single most important activity that adults can do to stay active and reduce their risk of falling.

SAIL is offered at Blue Mountain Yoga+ twice a week. SAIL exercises can be done standing or sitting and can be adapted to individual abilities. The SAIL program consists of periodic fitness checks and regular classes. Each class includes the following components:

  • Warm Up
  • Aerobics
  • Balance Exercises
  • Strength Exercises
  • Stretching and Education

Pre-registration is required. Packets are available at the studio, or you can request one by contacting Stephanie Parrish [stephanie.parrish@pm.me or (928) 592-7065]. Equipment is provided; please bring a bottle of water and exercise shoes that are reserved for indoor use.
